London The Summer Musical

Hey all,

The London Summer Musical is finally here in town!! You can finally experience an original London Summer Musical here at Sunway...

Talking about musicals, I've always dreamt of being a director of a musical. Hearing the applause of the crowd is just simply ecstacy to me. Oh well, that's my dream...So moving on to the real deal- Nuffnang is giving out 25 pair of tickets for us to watch the London Summer Musical at Sunway!!!

If you had the chance to direct one slot of the musical, which song would you choose and how would you imagine the scene to be?

Having the beautiful night sky as a backdrop, a flock of Churpie bird fly across the arena.....a troop of marching nuffnang stick men appear from thick mist blowing their horns and trumpets. Suddenly, everyone stare up into the sky asking one another...Is it a bird? no... Is it a plane? no.... It's Timothy Tiah??? Founder of nuffnang appear in the sky with thousand of balloons tied to his pants...

Then, Timothy starts singing:  "It's a beautiful night, We're looking for something great to do, Hey baby I think I wanna marry you". (Bruno Mars-Marry You) He'll move towards Audrey and she joins in and continue singing.

Then all nuffnangers and churpers dressed in formal wedding attire join into the musical.

The musical is gonna end with a blast as fireworks will ignite and at the same time, a ferrari decorated wedding car with the "Just Married" sign is drove into the arena and take the Married Couple off...

So there you go..."Timothy and Audrey's Wedding Musical"

Love Poem

Dear lovers, found this love poem that i want to share with u all lovers out there. Here it goes:

They might be far away
in another distant land on the other side
voices can still travel far
even if one were to whisper on the inside

one long plane ride
a single call each day and night
distant won't be the one
that will tear us apart

believe in the power of love
it's might will never wither and die
the strength shall triumph over evil
there no such thing as distance

promise to love each other
never let go of each other hands
no matter how cold the water might be
we will never let go of each other

the distant and time is in the end
we might slip by and never remember a thing
but forever we will continue to love one another
like there is no distant that shall take us away

shall the love live on
we will see each other again
embrace one another as a whole
distant will never change us from the inside
we promised

Love at First Byte

Throughout history men and women had used a variety of means to find each other. Internet romance according to some is a bizarre method, and others it is a 'natural' for the 90's, to meet potential mates.  Reading enough pages of people's experiences one could consider a decent length novel, has formed an interesting picture in me of internet romance.

Romances formed on the internet follow a characteristic script. The development of emotional intimacy is a long process, sometimes taking several months. "Love at first byte" is rare although there are examples. The initial light exchanges, whether by e-mail or in chat rooms, are generally followed by increasingly self revealing topics, where after a while the two strangers perceive each other as a true friend. Could any heart with romantic inclinations resist? When you reach for the mouse with sweaty palms and butterflies in the stomach to look in the in-box for new mail - there's just no way to escape the fact - love has arrived.

In more fortunate cases the couple exchanged digitalized photos of themselves through the course of correspondence. This helps to ease the jolt of the initial meeting - which is a critical moment in every cyber love story. It is easy to understand if you realize what hopes and ideals our hero nursed up to that moment.Whether in real life or in cyber space, there is real pain and disappointment that accompanies love or what was presumed as love.  Many chose anonymity of meeting electronically thinking the distance provides a cushioning from the usual pains of a relationship. This is not true. Those who don't observe the rules of caution can suffer real and long healing scars. Don't think the only danger to your emotions is the lies your partner may tell. Sometimes it may be what we do to delude ourselves that bring negative consequences. While these internet relationships are real enough the invisibility of the partner must be countered somehow and this results in generous doses of fantasizing for some people.  There are those who easily lend themselves to daydreaming and loose their sense of reality. These people are prone to adorn their loved one with characteristics and appearance of a hero from a novel. It is difficult to escape from this dream back into reality unharmed. After the first kiss the prince turns into a frog and the story comes to an unexpected conclusion.

How does a cyber romance vary from a real life romance? Perhaps one significant difference is that communication plays such a large part.  Words that convey feelings have enormous effect. While before a real date we fix our hair and our clothes, on the internet we polish our intellect, imagination and personality. In essence the sequence is reversed - first we show our inner beauty and only after it had won victory does the veil fall off the physical vehicle of that personality at the time of that first meeting in person.
It is a popular topic in cyberspace to debate whether or not true love can develop merely on an intellectual level, that is without the physical attraction, the familiarity of the other's appearance? To put it another way: is the physical appearance of the man or woman play a part in the relationship if through the exchange of thoughts and feelings they already fell in love?

Many say it is against the nature of love to be deprived of the sense of sight, the look, the movement, the body language being present.  There are those, of course, who favor internet relationships claiming that the intensity of the emotional relationship that develops in such a way is superior to the mere stirring of the flesh.
Whatever the opinion may be on cyberlove - it must be said in favor of the internet that it puts people in touch with people that otherwise would never have met.

In spite all we've said, there are those who still chose the internet as the means to find a partner.
In any case - be cautious and keep your eyes open off-line as well - turn off the machine and go to a dance or a club, because most women still expect to be courted in a real, old fashioned, romantic way :)

Preparing for Valentine's

Hi lovers,

I bet all of you are super hyped up for tomorrow’s big day. I hope you all made your preparations early. For those that haven’t, you better act now!!

Here are some pretty basic guidelines that many of us tend to oversee when planning a date. These are just a few that you might want to tag on when planning your date this Valentine’s day:

#1: Budget, budget, budget
Coming up with a budget of how much you can spend on a date is important. Ensure that you spend within your means. Try not to overspend, because it will leave you a little sad at the end of the day. Work around the budget that you have, and make the best of it.

#2: Bon Appétit
Finding a place to eat on a special day like this can be a little challenging. If you and your partner are tolerable with a usual dining spot, then finding a place is not a crisis. But for those of you, who plan to visit a different dining place, ensure you do a reasonable amount of survey before you decide to take your partner. Friends and family members can really help when it comes to recommendation with an honest opinion. You can then filter your choices by casually asking your partner what kind of food he/she would prefer to have. You may also search the web for restaurants with good ratings and deals. And try to ensure that you find a place that is most convenient to you. Many of you young lovers may not have a ride. So keep your date at a practical location.

#3: Getting a gift
Getting a gift for your Valentine is a custom many couples do during Valentine’s Day. It is just a way couples use to express their affectionate feeling towards their partner. Many couples tend to search for unique gifts or simply just get something their partner has been wanting for sometime. However getting an expensive gift is not all that necessary. Anything that comes from your heart will put a smile on your partner’s face. Once again keep it within your budget. If your budget is too tight, getting a gift will not be necessary at all. Your partner will understand

#4: Mind your manners
When going out on a special day like this, try to be conscious of the way you eat, drink, walk and talk. After all it comes once in a year. You wouldn’t want your partner feeling embarrassed during the date.

#5: Timing
Being on time is really important. Plan your time well and try to meet them. No one likes waiting too long to be picked up or waiting alone in a restaurant. So try to be on time so that your date does not have a bad start.

#6: Dressing
The clothes you wear on this day, portrays the amount of respect you have for your partner. Dressing smart and clean will keep reminding your partner what they fell for when they saw you for the first time.

#7: Keep your partner smiling
Having a good time will keep your partner thinking about the amount of fun he/she had with you. Try to put aside your differences and just enjoy each others company during this day. Keep your Valentine laughing and in a joyful mood

#8: Seal it with love
Romance is key to all !

Good luck to all : )

How Valentine's Day Originated

Dear lovers,
Today Loversville would like to share the story of how Valentine's day originated....

St. Valentine's Story

Let me introduce myself. My name is Valentine. I lived in Rome during the third century. That was long, long ago! At that time, Rome was ruled by an emperor named Claudius. I didn't like Emperor Claudius, and I wasn't the only one! A lot of people shared my feelings.

Claudius wanted to have a big army. He expected men to volunteer to join. Many men just did not want to fight in wars. They did not want to leave their wives and families. As you might have guessed, not many men signed up. This made Claudius furious. So what happened? He had a crazy idea. He thought that if men were not married, they would not mind joining the army. So Claudius decided not to allow any more marriages. Young people thought his new law was cruel. I thought it was preposterous! I certainly wasn't going to support that law!

Did I mention that I was a priest? One of my favourite activities was to marry couples. Even after Emperor Claudius passed his law, I kept on performing marriage ceremonies -- secretly, of course. It was really quite exciting. Imagine a small candlelit room with only the bride and groom and myself. We would whisper the words of the ceremony, listening all the while for the steps of soldiers.

One night, we did hear footsteps. It was scary! Thank goodness the couple I was marrying escaped in time. I was caught. I was thrown in jail and told that my punishment was death.

I tried to stay cheerful. And do you know what? Wonderful things happened. Many young people came to the jail to visit me. They threw flowers and notes up to my window. They wanted me to know that they, too, believed in love.

One of these young people was the daughter of the prison guard. Her father allowed her to visit me in the cell. Sometimes we would sit and talk for hours. She helped me to keep my spirits up. She agreed that I did the right thing by ignoring the Emperor and going ahead with the secret marriages. On the day I was to die, I left my friend a little note thanking her for her friendship and loyalty. I signed it, "Love from your Valentine."

I believe that note started the custom of exchanging love messages on Valentine's Day. It was written on the day I died, February 14, 269 A.D. Now, every year on this day, people remember. But most importantly, they think about love and friendship. And when they think of Emperor Claudius, they remember how he tried to stand in the way of love, and they laugh -- because they know that love can't be beaten!

So my friends, this is how Valentine's day originated :)

First Date

To all our single friends out there, Valentine's is just round the corner and this is your best chance to impress the girl/ guy of you dreams. For those of you who have yet to make your move, you'd better get going, Valentine's only come once in a year you know!! Now, here are some tips for you on how to impress on first date.

First impression is the best impression. So, Be Prepared!! Preparation can be as important as the date itself, so never leave things till the last minute. If you're planning to bring your date to a fine dining restaurant, make sure you make a reservation beforehand and If you're planning to watch a movie, purchase the ticket online first if possible as having to switch restaurants and failing to watch the movie you planned can be disastrous. It would definitely be a plus point if you can take your date to a place that is unique, where she would not have gone before. Say a flower field, or a boat in the local lake or a fun fare (I certainly haven't been to a fun fare in ages!). Make it a memorable and interesting place, something she would not forget for a long time.

So now, the big day has arrived. Three words- Dress to impress! However, do not go to every shop in the mall buying something new as you can never really tell if it’s good on you as you would be wearing it for the first time. Be smart and wear clothes that are comfortable and best suit your personality.

It is also good if you keep a list of conversation starters and make them general questions. Ask about their life but never get too personal. Try to be witty and humorous as girls are often turned on by that. Never brag on how big your biceps are or how many girls were interested in you before. Present your plus points in a subtle manner as it will be much more effective in connecting with her. By looking into the eyes of your date, it means you are showing interest in her. And don’t keep on yapping, allow her to talk. When she is talking listen to her. Don’t be cheesy or behave like a tramp, instead appreciate her in a honest manner.

At the end of the date, when you drop her home, switch to a romantic topic and give her a kiss preferably on the cheeks or maybe a peck on the lips if she allows to. That would definitely be a memorable one. Good luck guys!!

TGV makes loving so much sexier

Hi lovers,

We made a visit to Sunway Pyramid the other day and checked out TGV's latest Beanie Plex, and all we have to say about it is.......SUPER ROMANTIC!!!! Although a little pricey, RM 38 per couple seat, the seats are comfortable like a big couch. With the annoying hand rest out of the way, you can just cuddle with your sweetheart for one whole movie. The chairs provide a certain amount of privacy as well with its slightly raised arm rests at the end. Totally worth it lovers. Do checked it out if you can... Cheers lovers

Valentine's Must Watch Movies

Dear lovers,

As we all know Valentine’s Day is just around the corner. It is one of those days we tend to work the hardest to find that one thing to express our feelings to our loved ones in a special way. Coming up with an extraordinary idea is difficult, and there is no doubt many of you are feeling the pressure. If you are facing this problem then let us assure you that you truly are deeply in love with your partner and he/she is absolutely gifted to have you. Many of you may have loads of ideas in mind, a hot air balloon ride probably, or a candle light dinner in a beautiful park or maybe even a special firework show for your dearest. What ever it is, ensure that your ideas revolve within your budget and the resources that you have. With that in mind, we thought what better way to fill your minds with some interesting ideas to do on this affectionate day. Our quest in making the best of your Valentine’s Day starts today. We will visit restaurants and suggest movies suitable for a passionate evening. Ideas and comments are most welcomed.

For now, we have a list of possible movies you might want to consider:

The TITANIC is a wonderful film by James Cameron, and it is by far one of the most touching films we have ever watched. For those who haven't watch it, we highly recommend you to get a copy of it and watch it with your loved one during Valentine's. The movie tells the tale of a well mannered Rose DeWitt Bukater (Kate Winslet) that is pressured to marry a rich man by the name of Cal Hockley due to her family’s condition – an idea which Rose would prefer to avoid. Attempting to commit suicide, she was saved by Jack Dawson (Leonardo DiCaprio) a raffish and charming third-class passenger. Jack and Rose started to spend time together, ultimately falling in love, in spite of the disapproval of both her mother and Hockley.

JERRY MAGUIRE on the other hand is a modern day film. The movie has a blend of comedy and romance. With Tom Cruise playing the leading role as a super sports agent named Jerry Maguire who losses his job due to a mission statement he presented. Joining him is a 26-year old single mother, Dorothy Boyd (Renee Zellweger), who is so moved by Jerry's Mission Statement that she's willing to throw away a safe job to be part of his new venture. The film describes how the life of both individuals grow into a magical love story. In this film you'll be surprised to find how our Mission Impossible hero, actually has a sensitive side.
